Recap: Winters Warriors vs. Colusa RedHawks

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Winters Warriors, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by the RedHawks 42-13 on Wednesday. Winters lost against Colusa in their previous head to head back in October, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-20 score last time.

Colton Brown threw for 84 yards on ten of 19 attempts. Sebastian Valadez was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Gio Jimenez rushed for 101 yards on only 14 carries.

Colusa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bo Coronado led the charge by throwing for 262 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. Adan Travis also deserves a shout-out for his three touchdowns.

Winters' loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Colusa, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Winters does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Colusa will head out on the road to face off against South San Francisco at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. South San Francisco is on a five-game streak of home wins, Colusa a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
