Baseball Recap: Corbin Takes a Loss

Corbin fell victim to Lexington Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redhounds of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Corbin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Cima, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Cima has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Corbin's defeat dropped their record down to 20-16. As for Lexington Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corbin will face off against Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Redhounds are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lexington Christian, they will challenge George Rogers Clark at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
