Baseball Recap: Windsor Takes a Loss

Windsor fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Fort Collins on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-7 to the Lambkins, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wizards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tripp Thomas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ethan Fillinger, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Fort Collins, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Windsor beat the Lambkins by a score of 9-5 on Saturday.
