Basketball Recap: Fletcher Takes a Loss

Fletcher and Carnegie squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Fletcher had to settle for second. They fell to Carnegie 49-44.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carnegie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kolten Valenzuela, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Valenzuela a new career-high in points. Uzziah Ahhaitty was another key player, putting up six points along with 11 boards and five steals.

Fletcher's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Carnegie, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Fletcher does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carnegie, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-36 loss against Caddo on the 22nd.
