Von Steuben had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Schurz Bulldogs. The game was the first time Von Steuben have beaten Schurz on their pitch since September 27, 2019.

Von Steuben hit Schurz with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andrew Ramirez, Brandon Ponce, and Edwin Romero.

Looking ahead, Von Steuben will head out to take on Clemente at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Schurz, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Phoenix Military at 5:00 p.m.
