Basketball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Crusaders vs. Kennett Indians
Saxony Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Kennett Indians, falling 70-38. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-53 back in February.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kennett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyce Edwards, who went 13-for-29 en route to 33 points along with five assists and four steals. That makes it 26 consecutive games in which Edwards has scored at least a third of Kennett's points. Anekia Farmer was another key player, shooting 89% from the field to rack up 18 points and six steals.
Saxony Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Kennett, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.
As of now, neither Saxony Lutheran nor Kennett have any future games scheduled.
