Soccer Game Preview: Bennington vs. Elkhorn

The Bennington Badgers will head out to take on the Elkhorn Antlers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bennington took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Columbus, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Badgers had just enough and edged out the Discoverers 3-2 on Saturday.

Bennington hit Columbus with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lucy Lampe, Autumn Christiansen, and Makenna O'Connor.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Elkhorn made sure to put some goals up on the board against Northwest on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 7-1 victory. Elkhorn haven't had any issues with Northwest recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Bennington now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Elkhorn, their record is now 3-0.

Bennington skirted past Elkhorn 1-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Badgers repeat their success, or do the Antlers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
