Basketball Game Preview: Crossroad Academy Scorpions vs. Fort White Indians

Two dominant guards in Forrest Dudley and Tafari Moe are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Crossroad Academy Scorpions will take on the Fort White Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Crossroad Academy comes in on five and Fort White on 11.

Crossroad Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They took down Munroe 62-43. Given the Scorpions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dudley was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-13 on his way to 21 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Camari Hale, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Fort White hadn't done well against Hilliard recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Fort White narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hilliard 62-59.

Fort White's win came from a few key players Crossroad Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jayden Jackspn, who went 7-for-14 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Moe, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 16 points.

Crossroad Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Fort White, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
