Softball Game Preview: Apple Springs Eagles vs. Wells Pirates

Apple Springs is 0-3 against Wells since March of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. Apple Springs will be playing at home against Wells at 6:00 p.m. Apple Springs has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Apple Springs fell victim to Cushing and their airtight pitching crew last Tuesday. They came up short against the Bearkats, falling 19-0. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Apple Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kymber Roberts, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 13-9 to Neches. One positive for the Pirates, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Wells' loss dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Apple Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Apple Springs couldn't quite get it done against Wells in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can Apple Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
