Basketball Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

Westside entered their matchup against Cypress Woods on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolves were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 84-45. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Cypress Woods, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Westside will welcome Alief Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Cypress Woods, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-52 win against Freeman on the 6th.
