 Reeds Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They fell victim to a  rough 14-4 defeat at the hands of the New Covenant Academy Warriors. That's two games in a row now that Reeds Spring has lost by  exactly ten  runs.
 For New Covenant Academy's part,  Connor McCarley made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. McCarley was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news, New Covenant Academy let  Nathaniel Martin and  Elijah Dauber loose on the outfield. Martin  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI and a  run, while  Dauber  scored two  runs while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Braden Blake, who  scored three  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Reeds Spring's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for New Covenant Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Reeds Spring is on the road again  on Tuesday to play Hollister at 4:30  p.m. As for New Covenant Academy, they will be playing at home against College Heights Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. College Heights Christian will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something New Covenant Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
