Basketball Recap: Eastview Comes Up Short

Eastview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost to the Eagan Wildcats on the road by a 73-56 margin. While losing is never fun, the Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Wildcats are ranked 23rd).

Eastview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Eagan, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Eastview has already played their next matchup (against Lakeville North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Eagan Wildcats face off against the Lakeville South Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
