Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Oak Ridge challenged Oran on Friday. The Blue Jays lost 9-2 to the Eagles. The Blue Jays haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Oak Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Weston Riggs, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Kaden Borgfield also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Oran, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Oak Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Vincent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oran, they will head out to square off against Scott City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
