Softball Game Preview: Lafayette Rams vs. Bruton Panthers

The Lafayette Rams will head out to take on the Bruton Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lafayette came up short against New Kent on Wednesday, falling 17-2.

Lafayette saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryah Gorelick, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Bruton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to Smithfield. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Bruton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Lafayette couldn't quite finish off Bruton when the teams last played back in March and fell 4-2. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
