Florence's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the La Junta Tigers, falling 44-21. The Huskies were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Florence lost, don't look at Noah Howard. Despite the final result, he rushed for 231 yards and one TD, and also threw for 116 yards on four of 12 attempts. Howard is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 153 every time he's taken the field this season. Ryan Robinson was in the mix too, providing Florence with two scores.

Florence moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for La Junta, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
