Meanwhile, Capistrano Valley can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Mission Viejo. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Capistrano Valley has posted since December 21, 2023.
San Clemente's draw makes their record 10-0-3 on the season. As for Capistrano Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1.
San Clemente took their win against Capistrano Valley in their previous meeting last Friday by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Clemente since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
