Football Recap: Penn Yan Academy/Dundee Takes a Loss

After soaring to 49 points the game before, Penn Yan Academy/Dundee was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost to the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders on the road by a 29-12 margin. While losing is never fun, Penn Yan Academy/Dundee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Palmyra-Macedon is ranked 50th).

A big part of Palmyra-Macedon's win came down to the chemistry between Camron Quick and his top target James Mack III. Quick threw for 115 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes while Mack III picked up 38 receiving yards and two scores. That's the most receiving touchdowns Mack III has posted since back in September.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-2. As for Palmyra-Macedon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Penn Yan Academy/Dundee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmyra-Macedon, they will challenge Lyons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
