Baseball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Mid-Carolina Rebels, falling 12-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cyclones of the 9-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Mid-Carolina, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Mid-Carolina has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Newberry on the 2nd. Hopefully Chester payed attention to the Rebels' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
