Basketball Recap: Prairie City-Monroe Comes Up Short

Prairie City-Monroe lost against Pella Christian back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pella Christian Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Prairie City-Monroe now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Pella Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Prairie City-Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-58 win against Perry on the 10th. As for Pella Christian, they will square off against Norwalk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pella Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three games.
