The East Bladen Eagles will head out to face off against the Whiteville Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Bladen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

East Bladen is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering South Columbus just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Stallions by a score of 8-7.

Martha Simmons made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Tatum Allen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Whiteville suffered their closest defeat since March 18th on Monday. They fell just short of East Bladen by a score of 5-3. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whiteville's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for East Bladen, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

East Bladen skirted past Whiteville 5-3 in their previous meeting on Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
