Softball Preview: Southmont Mounties vs. North Putnam Cougars
After two games on the road, Southmont is heading back home. They will take on the North Putnam Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Southmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.

Camryn Riggle made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Riggle has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. Riggle was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, North Putnam let Lexi Daigle and Hailee Daigle loose on the outfield. Daigle scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Daigle scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Mason, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Southmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for North Putnam, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14.
