Sherman Oaks CES came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Vaughn White Tigers, posting an 86-29 victory. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the White Tigers are ranked 1354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sherman Oaks CES has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for Vaughn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Sherman Oaks CES will square off against Dominguez at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Sherman Oaks CES's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Dominguez has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Vaughn, they will venture away from home to square off against Fulton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
