Basketball Recap: Caney Valley Takes a Loss

Caney Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nowata Ironmen. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while the Ironmen are ranked 175th).

Caney Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Nowata, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Caney Valley nor Nowata have any future games scheduled.
