Truckee is 9-1 against Wooster since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wolverines will host the Colts at 4:00 p.m.

Truckee saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Valley. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly five runs.

Truckee saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Timmy Koehler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Wooster came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Hawks on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout.

Wooster got a massive performance out of Edgar Nunez Montano, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The Colts are 5-1 when Nunez Montano posts two or more runs, but 6-7-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Corl, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Wooster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Wooster pushed their record up to 11-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Truckee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.

Everything went Truckee's way against Wooster in their previous matchup last Monday, as Truckee made off with a 9-3 win. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
