The biggest upset of the week belonged to Timberland, who took down 150th ranked Howell Central, 36-23. Lucas Jordan ran for 185 yards in the win.
Ryan Bainbridge and John Hummel provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Spartans. The connection was good for 56 yards, the longest such play in Gateway - South this season.
The T-Wolves' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bainbridge threw for 70 and one touchdown and Hummel had 63 yards receiving. Kyle Fletcher helped Timberland's passing attack out by catching one ball for seven yards.
Austin Grubbs made the biggest impact on defense this week as Timberland beat Howell Central. The senior grabbed one interception and recorded one fumble.
Timberland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the T-Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bainbridge has thrown for 266 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Fletcher has four catches for 84 yards. Jordan leads the league in rushing with 382 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Ed Gilreath's team takes on Howell. The T-Wolves are in fourth place, while the Vikings are in first place.
Howell extended the longest winning streak in Gateway - South this week by beating Troy-Buchanan, 34-3. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Vikings.
