Independence put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Washington Rams with a sharp 15-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Nailea Lopez Flores made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs.

In other batting news, Annabelle Mendez was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Mariana Perez Vargas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Independence's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Washington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Independence will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
