Softball Recap: Berean Christian Comes Up Short

After soaring to 28 runs the game before, Berean Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 17-1 to the Cardinal Newman Crusaders. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Berean Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Severson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Severson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Berean Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Cardinal Newman, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will challenge Port St. Lucie at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cardinal Newman, they will face off against Westminster Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
