Volleyball Game Preview: Kennedy Eagles vs. Pinole Valley Spartans

Kennedy is 0-5 against Pinole Valley since March of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Kennedy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Pinole Valley Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Kennedy has three wins , while Pinole Valley has nine dating back to last season).

Kennedy proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Bethel.

Kennedy took Bethel into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-22, 23-25, 28-26, 15-6.

Meanwhile, everything went Pinole Valley's way against Making Waves Academy on Monday as Pinole Valley made off with a 3-0 win.

While Pinole Valley might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Making Waves Academy scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-24, 25-22.

Pinole Valley's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Kennedy might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Pinole Valley when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Kennedy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
