Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Lynx vs. Augusta Elks

The Lincoln Lynx will face off against the Augusta Elks at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Lincoln is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Charlo: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Lincoln blew Charlo out of the water with a 78-25 final score. The Lynx have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Augusta). They enjoyed a cozy 51-32 win over Valier last Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Elks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38 points. As for Augusta, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Lincoln against Augusta in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 77-33 win. In that matchup, Lincoln amassed a halftime lead of 40-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
