Volleyball Recap: Start Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Start's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Toledo Christian Eagles by a score of 3-1. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Start had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 28-30, 25-23, 25-14, 25-11.

Kaden Baker paced Start's offense, picking up 20 kills. Baker got some help from Jaden Brunt and his 21 assists. Baker was also solid from the service line: he led the team with 16 aces.

Start moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Start will challenge Swanton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Toledo Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
