Volleyball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Hillsboro Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-8, 25-16.

Maggie Pfeifer paced Washington's offense, picking up five kills. Pfeifer got some help from Sophia Shaw and her seven assists. Pfeifer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Hillsboro, their win ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Washington is set to take on their familiar foe Chillicothe at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hillsboro will challenge rival Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
