Basketball Recap: Olmsted Falls Takes a Loss

Olmsted Falls was the 70-55 winner over Maple Heights when they last played one another back in January of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Olmsted Falls Bulldogs fell just short of the Maple Heights Mustangs by a score of 61-59 on Friday. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Maple Heights' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andre McCullough led the charge by going 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Davan Aniton, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Olmsted Falls fell to 2-1. As for Maple Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Olmsted Falls has already played their next contest, a 60-48 win against North Olmsted on the 10th. As for Maple Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 86-46 victory against John F. Kennedy on the 9th.
