Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Patriots vs. Belleville Tigers

Franklin hasn't had much luck against Belleville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Franklin Patriots will face off against the Belleville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Franklin came up short against Dearborn and fell 57-45. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Pioneers are ranked 179th).

Meanwhile, Belleville's undefeated season came to an end after 14 games on Saturday. They fell to Wayne Memorial 57-52. The loss put an end to the Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for Belleville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 14-1.

Franklin was taken down by Belleville 80-18 when the teams last played back in January. Can Franklin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
