While Emmett's win against Ridgevue wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies slipped by the Warhawks 27-26 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won seven in a row.

Nessen Korell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 100 yards, while also throwing for 64 yards and one TD on only six passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Emmett was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 260 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

When it comes to explaining why Ridgevue lost, don't look at Jarom Walker. Despite the final result, he rushed for 185 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. Hunter Schmittel was another key player, throwing for 152 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes.

Emmett's record is now 3-1. As for Ridgevue, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
