Football Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield lost against Waldwick/Midland Park back in September of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Boilermakers fell 21-14 to the Warriors. The Boilermakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dylan Ferrara produced another solid performance rushing for 203 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 20 yards and one TD for Waldwick/Midland Park. Ferrara really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. Luciano Mayer helped out on the ground, rushing for 90 yards.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Waldwick/Midland Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Garfield will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Waldwick/Midland Park, they will welcome New Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
