The biggest upset of the week belonged to Frostproof, who took down 127th ranked Fort Meade, 20-14.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A District 4 this week, Tampa Catholic beat Lakeland Christian 41-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Crusaders.
Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's dynamic duo of R.J. Perciavalle and William Potosky proved tough for Berkeley Prep to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Perciavalle threw for 183 yards and Potosky had 116 yards receiving. Kyle Kampsen helped Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 30 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Christian Alexander and T. J. Simmons, the Vikings have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Alexander is tops in the league in passing with 1,396 yards, while Simmons has rushed for 940 yards this season. The Miners' Tobias Culpepper leads the league in receiving yards with 463 on 26 catches.
Lakeland Christian's Simmons is a mere 60 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 103 carries Simmons has put up 940 yards this year.
The Bulldogs are currently in second, while the Buccaneers are in fifth.
The Hurricanes lost to Berkeley Prep 51-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Perciavalle ran for 24 yards in the defeat.
