Baseball Recap: Sharyland Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Six must be Sharyland's lucky number: they beat Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Rattlers beat the Raiders by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Emilio Villarreal tossed a big game, not allowing a single hit while striking out ten over 5.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Fabrizio Salinas was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Sergio Ibarra, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
