It was a good run, but Hickory Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Ambassador Christian School Lions by a score of 6-4.

Hickory Christian Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jude Carter, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

Hickory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Ambassador Christian School, their record is now 8-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hickory Christian Academy will challenge North Hills Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Ambassador Christian School, they will take on Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
