Basketball Game Preview: Clopton Hawks vs. Bowling Green Bobcats

The Clopton Hawks will square off against the Bowling Green Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clopton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Bowling Green likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Clopton needed a bit of extra time to put away Van-Far. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 63-52.

Meanwhile, Bowling Green waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Tigers 70-22. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Clopton is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.9 points over those games. As for Bowling Green, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Clopton beat Bowling Green 61-51 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Clopton repeat their success, or does Bowling Green have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
