Traders Point Christian takes loss despite strong efforts from Andrew Hensley and Gage Fisher

Recap: Traders Point Christian Knights vs. Covenant Christian Warriors

The Traders Point Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 87-43 defeat at the hands of Covenant Christian. Traders Point Christian has struggled against Covenant Christian recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Gage Fisher and Andrew Hensley certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Fisher scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, while Hensley scored 16 points along with five assists. The game was Hensley's third in a row with at least ten points.

Traders Point Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Nathan Crane was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that he grabbed two or more steals. Jameson Laughlin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Traders Point Christian has fallen quite a ways from their 18-7 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Covenant Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Traders Point Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Horizon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Covenant Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
