Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Falcons vs. Broughton Capitals

The Jordan Falcons and the Broughton Capitals will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Last Thursday, Jordan didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Leesville Road, but they still walked away with a 58-53 victory.

Caroline Masella had an outrageously good game as she posted 32 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Yancey, who put up 16 points.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Broughton beat Green Level 38-33 on Friday.

Jordan pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Broughton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Jordan came out on top in a nail-biter against Broughton in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 43-41. Will Jordan repeat their success, or does Broughton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
