Softball Recap: Riverside-Brookfield Sets Scoring Season-High Against Streamwood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverside-Brookfield). They never let the Streamwood Sabres get on the board and left with a 25-0 win on Wednesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Riverside-Brookfield is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Streamwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-20 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside-Brookfield will venture away from home to challenge Sandburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Streamwood, they will take on South Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
