Volleyball Recap: Highland Trojans vs. Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Highland can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors on Saturday. The Trojans have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Hannah Ladewski paced Highland's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ladewski got some help from Alivia Ekanem and her 19 assists. Ladewski also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Selena Govea, each putting up two.

Leading Hammond Bishop Noll to victory were Joselyn Calleros and Tessa Zubeck. Calleros had 15 digs and three aces, while Zubeck had 20 assists and ten digs. What's more, Calleros posted five assists, the most she's had since back in August.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-23. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 22-13.
