Basketball Recap: Casey Lambert's Big Game Can't Quite Lead L.W. Higgins over Sarah T. Reed

L.W. Higgins lost against Sarah T. Reed back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hurricanes took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Olympians. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

L.W. Higgins' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Casey Lambert, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Da'Yon Lemieux, who scored ten points.

L.W. Higgins' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Sarah T. Reed, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. L.W. Higgins will host Frederick A. Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sarah T. Reed, they and Kennedy will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
