Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Prep Has No Trouble Against New Canaan

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Milford, Notre Dame Prep was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the New Canaan Rams with a sharp 11-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lancers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Notre Dame Prep pushed their record up to 7-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for New Canaan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Notre Dame Prep will venture away from home to face off against Immaculate at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for New Canaan, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Greenwich at 4:00 p.m.
