Baseball Recap: Corona Extends Road Winning Streak to 15

Corona had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They never let the Roosevelt Mustangs get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on Monday.

Anthony Murphy was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since April 3rd. Brady Ebel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Corona hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.

Corona's victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 17 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

Corona will have a chance to go back-to-back against Roosevelt: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
