Softball Recap: Northwood Comes Up Short

Northwood was the 12-5 winner over Caddo Magnet when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Northwood Falcons fell just short of the Caddo Magnet Mustangs by a score of 9-8 on Monday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mackenzie Jagers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Ramirez, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3.

Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Caddo Magnet, their record is now 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwood will be taking part in a tournament against Jennings at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caddo Magnet, they will square off against Southwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Caddo Magnet is facing Southwood at the right time seeing as Southwood is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
