Heritage Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Ridgeline Academy Eagles get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The Heroes' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last five games.

Not much got past Addy Gillespie, who gave up just a hit to keep Ridgeline Academy off the board. Gillespie has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Heritage Academy got a massive performance out of Zoey Wheaton, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Duncan, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Heritage Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Heritage Academy's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Ridgeline Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Academy will face off against Mission Heights Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridgeline Academy, they will head out to square off against Imagine Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
