Baseball Recap: Logan Gets the Win

Logan's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Summit Academy Bears 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Grizzlies have posted since March 27, 2024.

Rylee Hoth was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Hoth was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyler Briel, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Logan's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Summit Academy, their record is now 2-9.

Logan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
