Football Recap: Tualatin Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tualatin can now relate to. They and the Jesuit Crusaders were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but they suffered a 34-33 defeat. The Timberwolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 13-7.

Owen Hagerman threw for 99 yards on nine of 16 attempts. Cole Newton was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards. On the ground, Cole Hachmeister rushed for 58 yards and one TD.

Luke Ortner produced another solid performance rushing for 289 yards and three scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry for Jesuit. Ortner has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played.

Tualatin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Jesuit, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Tualatin will take on West Linn on Saturday. The Timberwolves will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. Jesuit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
